Done my homework..

In order not to leave everything to my designer, i decided to do some homework in order to come out with my very own dream gown. Below are some of the gowns design which i can take into consideration when measuring-to-made my very own. I gonna show all these designs to my designer so that she will have an idea what design i have in mind.

My perfect gown should have the following
1. duchess satin
2. ribbons
3. A very long train
*lol* To me, they look elegant and romantic. I think they compliment to my fairytale theme. The above gown is suits meets all my criteria. Nice nice...

Settled!!!

Well…I received a call from the designer of one of the bridal shop that we visited on sat aft. She called to inform me that there's a promotion going on for their package & she is gg to throw in a MTM gown for me. WOW! Sounds like a good deal to me. So we pursuaded sb to go in the evening to discuss on the details. Looks like we dont have to crack our heads on which bridal to take up anymore. Keke.. When we reached the shop, we were so surprised to see only 1 couple there viewing the package. As it's a sat night, we expect it to be crowded. The moment the designer saw us, she was so surprised. Cos i did not tell her in advance that we will be there. We sat down and she starts to go over the package once again and also tell us the details about the promotion going on. As she was explaining thru the package, I wasn't paying full attention. I was looking around, going thru the new gowns that are on display. I simply love their gowns collections. Before we sign the package, i suggested that SB should take a look at the suits that the bridal shop offers. Normally the groom gets neglected which results in their disinterest in participating. I don't want it to happen for our case. However, he is not very satified with their suits, complaining that the designs are not up to his standard. He commented abt tailoring his own suit. Haha.. Afterwhich, we looked through the package for one last round and signed it. Wosh... Finally settled on the bridal thingy after a few weeks of research. We were told that we will be choosing the gown nx feb and taking photography nx june. Looking forward to it....haha

Housing woes...

The result of the balloting exercise wasn’t towards our favour. Our lucky number... 434. That is out of a total of 254 available units. Do the sums yourself, you don't need to be a math whiz to calculate how slim the chances are. Well looking in the bright side, at least we got a queue no. (I am thought that positive thinking is the way to go.. "Always look on the bright side of life.." or so the song goes..). We are still pinning on the last bit of hope, hopefully there will still be units left for us, even the scraps will do. Beggars can't be choosers right..

If lady luck does not shine on us, then we gotta start house hunting. Man, I really dread the idea of meeting up with a housing agent go shopping for a re-sale HDB flat. Although I've never had to deal with one before, I can't help be wary of them. You know housing agents are not exactly my idea of an altruistic profession, whereby they are sworn upon the oath to help every house seller and buyers to the fullest of their abilities, to strike the best deal in interest of the two parties. I don't know if my doing any justice to them as my statements is skewed against their favour, but I can't help but be wary of their sales antics. As I type my thoughts, I can't help but paint a picture of a motor mouthed, smooth talking trying to hustle us into what he calls the best deal in town, for a limited time only... Haha... I really should stop this; this is just my bias thought. Haha.. As I've said, I never had the 'luxury' of dealing personally with a housing agent. Maybe it will not be as bad as I thought.. Well "Always look on the bright side of life..."
