Reno phase - Final

It been a long long time since my last posting. Was really caught up with hse reno & exam. So really no time to blog. Now, more updates for my hse reno. Reno's finally over..Last fri, the workers came to do last min touchup & the house was officially handed over to us. I was feeling so excited...However, the cleaning part really did tire me out. I spent the whole weekend cleaning the hse & packing the stuff that we brought over to our new hse. I think we bought too much stuff.. The boxes pilling up in the room is driving me crazy. Plus all those boxes of electrical appliances lying on the floor..I couldn't stand the sight of it. So i packed everything into the kitchen cabinet,MBR cabinet & storeroom. haha... I think FH n i are behaving like uncle & auntie now.. We patrionised NTUC & houseware shop nearly everyday. We ended up with lotsa hse cleaning agents. Im becoming v paranoid. Kept vacumning the floor..I can't stand dust on the floor. Haha... Luckily we got ourselves a bagless vacumn cleaner. I simply love it. Clearing the debris is a breeze...haha...
We arranged for all deliveries to be made last sat... Firstly, our barang barang dining table came...I love the table, the displays i bought from vietnam simply fits my dining table. Haha... Now i need to get a table runner..then it would be perfect. :) Juz half an hour later, our sofa arrived. Hmm... the sofa looks abit small though. We reduced the size of the original displayed sofa. 20cm shorter. Now, it looks abit small..However, it did free out lotsa space. Didnt make our living room looks cramp. So i guess juz as well. Im very tempted to build a platform for my living room, a cosy corner for chill out and to laze ard...Still considering...haha.. In the late afternoon, our hitachi fridge, brandt washer & delonghi oven arrived. The fridge fits well in the space we allocated for it. Same goes for our washer. Its so slim that it frees out space in the service balcony for our piggies pen. Its great!
However, small hiccups does happens along the way. We bought some food from NTUC thinking of cooking a simple dinner for ourselves...Who knows, the pot we bought wasn't compatible with the induction hob. Haha...Aluminium pot couldn't conduct heat. :( We ended up using the steamboat FH's mom gave us to cook dinner. *_*"
I started to have a sense of belonging to the house. Starts to feel like a home to me... We felt more settled now, cos more or less done with the reno, except for some furnitures. Oh ya, we had our first mahjong session at our hse last sun. Sis n bro-in-law came over... Its been a long time since we played mahjong. Enjoyed the session... Hee..
